Welcome Fall

FALL IS HERE!!!!

I LOVE FALL!! 

  I really like when the weather changes and the deep bold colors that come with it.  The only thing you want is warm socks and a cup of jo in you hands! Also any excuse to wear a hoody or sweater is my my idea of a perfect day! People tell me I weird but I don't care.  The weather is usually perfect! You may hear this again during winter, spring and summer... just a warning. Also my favorite sports team starts to play in the fall. I am one hundred percent bleed orange and blue!!!!! Go BRONCOS!!!! I love football and my home town is the best... yada yada yada ya the Denver Broncos are my favorite!
  Now back on track... I had the idea of making a brown and orange wreath with a hint of green and red. I had it all mapped out in my head of how it should look to turn out just as I had planned.

My shopping list:
Wreath
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Your favorite fake fall flowers
Wooden letters
Shaper or Spay paint
Clear Glaze spray can
Pumpkins
Ribbon
Jute Cord
Wire cutters or scissors

Here are the hydrangeas I choose light green, orange and brown.

Then you may cut them down to how short you want them. 

Here is the orange pumpkin against the brown of the wreath.

I place the hydrangeas and leaves on the wreath secure with hot glue.

The ribbon was the perfect color for the image I had in my head

Got some wooden shaped letters from Walmart and separated in to each individual letter, stacked up so I could tell what I had, and what else I could do for the future projects.

Most people would choose to do the easiest/fastest method (like spray painting the letters) but instead I took the longer, somewhat of a nightmare way, where I took a red and an orange sharpie and zig-zag colored the letters in with one color and then filled in the gaps with the other color.... kind of giving it a burnt orange appearance. Before I sprayed the clear glazed I rubbed the glittery pumpkin on the letters so that have a hint of sparkle.

I then took the jute cord and braided three strands together. I then had the hot glue gun ready and put glue on each of the middle letters so that the spacing would be correct for the words.  After that I placed the remainder of the letters on the wreath and lastly I placed the pumpkins where I want them to go.

The details are important only if you are close and observant. I am always really thankful when I notice something has such great amount of detail, so I did my best to do that for this wreath.

  I have always wanted a fall/harvest wreath and my husband encouraged me to make one. So here it is! Hope you enjoyed reading this and let me know if you want to make one yourself!

Monogram Wreath

So I have become inspired to make wreaths and other crafty things. I got some the ideas off the Internet now I am showing them to whomever is interested. 

Here is one wreath that I didn't take individual photos of each step... but you can make it easily. The only thing you might need some help with is how make the Felt roses.

My husband and I have been married for 5 years. Did you know that the 5th anniversary traditional gift is wood or it’s the "Wood Year"? Sorta like the 25th is "Silver" and 50th is "Gold. " My husband looked it up and I have no desired to double check him on it.  

Given that, I got a wooden R for our last name and painted it silver. Our wedding colors were teal and cobalt blue. We had a summer wedding and I wanted it to be full of color and that it was. The flowers we had were all bright orange, pink and yellow roses. To us it was perfect! I had blue and teal ribbon and felt that matched the flowers. I used all of these for our 5th Anniversary wreath (see photo).
